Our goal is to repurpose and reuse quality horse and rider gear with efficiency, fair pricing, and a simple, transparent process that benefits everyone.
We consign saddles, tack, clothing, boots, grooming, and barn supplies, as well as horse-related gifts and décor.

Consignment Drop-Off
You do not need an appointment, but we recommend sending pictures of saddles and other large items before bringing them in. That helps us determine whether your items are a good fit for our shop and ensures we respect your time.
We accept items that are clean, in good working order, and current.
If items need cleaning, you will be charged a $50/hour cleaning fee, with a $5 minimum. Items that are substantially dirty (e.g., covered in manure or mouse droppings) will not be reviewed.
Rusty Spur will price your items, but we welcome your input. We price competitively with online platforms while maintaining consistency within our store.
If you would like to retrieve items we choose not to consign, plan to pick them up within one week. Any items deemed too used or nonfunctional will be discarded without notice.
For first-time consignors, you will receive an email within one week listing your items and their prices, along with login details and general reminders. Once you receive this email, your account is active. For future drop-offs, please log into your account for updates.
Buyers are allowed to make offers on saddles only, not on other items.
Timelines
Price drops begin as early as 30 days after consignment. Items are automatically reduced by 10% at the start of each month.
You are commiting to leaving items for at least 90 days. After that, you're welcome to pick them up—just let us know at least two days in advance so we can have them ready.
Items may stay in the shop for up to six months. After that, anything unsold will be donated or become property of the store. This does not apply to saddles or higher-priced items.
If you would like to reclaim items after this period, please let us know a week before their expiration. If you're unsure of the expiration date, refer to the item’s intake date and the Consignment Timeline provided.
We assume you are consigning in good faith. If you continue to market your items elsewhere, please direct interested buyers to purchase them through Rusty Spur while they are consigned with us.

Check “Inventory” to view what’s sold and what remains.
Check “Payout” to view your current earnings.
If you use your credit in the shop, you'll receive 10% off any one item paid for using your balance.
If you live outside of Parker and have a balance of $100 or more, we will mail you a check upon request. For balances under $100, a $3 fee applies to mail checks.
To pick up a check in-store, please notify us at least two days in advance.

Saddles
Western saddles must have a safe latigo and off-billet. If they do not, one must be provided or purchased in advance.
Saddles may go out on a one-week trial. Minor damage is a risk of consignment. Borrowers will be charged for major damage (e.g., deep scratches, broken or missing parts).
Saddles may be discounted by up to 10% as often as every 30 days.
If we decide to no longer consign your saddle, we will always contact you directly.
